So here are 2 projects I've been working on for some time, and it looks like they are finally happening. Indygo Junction is publishing my 2 patterns for Stand Up Stockings. There's Santa's Boot and the Elf Loot Boot. These great stockings can be used to fill with treats and toys or as a decoration. Watch the Indygo Junction website or your favorite quilt store for these patterns coming in July 2016.
It's spring and changes are in the air!
Since March 1 I am now working with the largest supplier of Sewing Quilting and Knitting Notions and Yarns in Canada, H A Kidd. ! I could not be more excited about this opportunity!
One of the many product lines we distribute is Oliso Irons. These are the irons with Touch Technology that raise and lower themselves on your ironing board. No more tipped over and broken irons!
So today I am using this great iron while I piece a quilt top.
Look who else uses an Oliso Iron

I have finally started my Gypsy Wife Quilt. This amazing pattern comes from a designer in Australia, Jen Kingwell. I am using scraps of various brights for my quilt. The quilt is made from various main and filler blocks, then put together with strips of filler prints. You make it in sections and then put the sections together.
This is a great project when you only have a few minutes to sew at a time. You can make one or more blocks at a sitting. I started about 10 days ago and so far I have 7 main blocks and 4 fillers.
Watch as I add more blocks.
I love Christmas vacation for so many reasons. Mainly for the time it allows me to spend with families and friends. But also for the time I get to spend in my sewing room.
I designed this spring basket. It measures 6 1/2" tall and 7" across and features tulips in front of a white picket fence. It can be used for Easter treats, yarn, fabric scraps or even as a thread catcher. Let this little basket brighten up your home.
This summer I added a new supplier and sales territory to my offering; I am now working with Gordon Fabrics in the maritimes including Newfoundland, NB, NS and PEI.
Gordon prints this great Canadian Flag fabric, so I designed this fun and easy Canada Day Placemat. I also used Marblehead from Fabri-quilt for my background. I'm really pleased with the final product. This pattern will be available to all my customers that buy the fabric.
Plum Easy has also released a new Table Runner pattern that uses the Half Hex Ruler and Morningstar Templates. I made my sample from some classic Christmas prints from Gordon Fabrics, featuring poinsettas and metallics.
Plum Easy has released their newest offering; The Morning Star (Star of David) Hot Pad. The pattern includes instructions to make a round, square or hexagon hot pad. Extra templates will also make all 3 and come in an economical 12 pack. I decided to try this new pattern on the weekend. I think they turned out great.
Plum Easy also released a half-hex ruler that you can use when making any of the Morning Star patterns; you don't need the ruler. They have included an outline of a template that you can make at home. But the ruler has a "ledge" to rest on the folded edge of your fabric, and makes cutting fast, easy and accurate, so personally I give the ruler a "must have" rating.
I made this table topper from a pattern that comes with the Quilt in a Day 4 1/2" Triangle Square Up Ruler. Here it is all quilted and bound. The fabric is Grey Skies from Marcus and it was quilted by Ken Grantham from Atlantic Fabrics.
I designed a carry and display case for the Row by Row license plates and pins. I used Soft and Stable for the base, then 2 large vinyl mesh pockets will hold the plates and pins. I used no-snag Velcro to keep it shut and cotton webbing for the handles. This is my first ever published pattern; available from Cut Loose Press.
